About the Artist
Harry W. Smith
Harry Smith lives his art. His studios, on Mt. Battie along the edge of Camden Hills State Park, overlook the coast of Maine. From the window of his 1860’s sea captain’s house he paints sailing vessels, lobster boats and osprey. He steps out of the studio to sketch animals, wildflowers and birds. Harry and his wife Marsha, collaborate on the original designs they do for many nationally known companies. A love and respect of nature is reflected in each of the artist’s signature pieces.
